Have you ever needed to grab cash at the last minute?  It’s past the bank hours, so you head for the ATM machine for a quick and efficient transaction of funds.  It is technology that allows us these types of advantages.  It is easy in our evolving world to take things for granted, such as the computer controlled ATM machines.  We stand by and watch our world quickly upgrade from tellers to bank machines, from answering machines to automatic answering services; from postal services to email connections and many more.  What is the extent of the impact that technology has on our lives?         How many of us rely on computers and the information accessible from the different computer programs to help us through our daily lives? We all do!  The computer is very influential in my life.  I rely on the computer as a reference, as a means of communication, and as a tool to enhance my learning ability.  But that is definately not all--I rely on the computer to pay my bills, to register for university and to get my plane safely in the air everytime I fly home.        Computers have also allowed us the freedom to explore parts of the world without even leaving our seats.  Our society definitely benefits from the computer.          Our culture has become accustomed to all these different devices.  We are slowly learning the use all of the different forms of technology, which will take some time to get used to.  Once we understand the benefits we can all take advantage of the technology to assist us when we need help.  Our world has entered the information revolution, ready or not. All this has helped us make our society quicker and much more efficient. Soon enough, our entire existence will rely on the aid of computers, no matter if you’re a CEO of a company, a trucker, a bus driver or a fast-food worker.  This technological activity will make the world a lot simpler only if the individual takes the first step to understand how things work.         All this at once has become very intimidating for most, but with patience and the will to learn, the functions of these devices will leave one further ahead in time.  As for me, keeping up with all the new gigots and gadgets coming out everyday will undoubtedly be beneficial to my career choice.  Do not let the computer and all its fancy parts intimidate you. Get out there and you will soon see what you are missing without having a computer.  Learning to take advantage of computers and new technology has had a huge impact on my life, and it will soon have a large impact on you life as well.
