Chaoscopy, a state of grace

SPRING 99
When theory meets the chaos of creative lives, rich personal expression blooms in unexpected ways. Discoveries are made. Revelations become animated.

In Chaoscopy, participants in the Spring 1999 session of English 290 designed pieces for the screen which demonstrate a balance of word and image. We agreed, after a strenuous bout with hypertext theory, that this work could be playful and expressive, maybe a kind of chaos therapy.

At this crossroads of the technical with the creative and personal, we often find a radical new path--the middle way--between chaos and machine logic. It's playful this place, and welcomes the trickster in all of us.
