Fire FightThe Ork stealth fighters just keep on coming from the hull of the mothership. You're instantly surrounded and the shields start diminishing around you, leaving you completely defenceless. Electro-static shockwaves ripple through the cockpit burning out all power and readout displays. Jed, your Rio, screams as she smashes her head into the navigation system. Switching over to auxillary power, control is regained and after firing a wing propulsar you manage to pull an evasive maneouver and, while rotating, swing round behind two fighters. Two quick (completely guided) missile shots and you might live through this one after all! One nitrous cell left. Nearly breaking the throttle stick. Nitrous fire lights up the darkness as the G4 slams into high gear rapidly jumping through space out of range of the now-pursuing enemy! Alas you are still out-numbered; two more fighters close in, eight o'clock. There was nothing to do; turning at this speed would rip the structural integrity of the hull apart, killing you and the unconscious Jed instantly. The lightweight carbon fiber ship continues to accelerate, but the Space Ork's won't give up. They must have miniature folding engines you deduce.
"Beep beep beep beep beep." Your proximity alarm rings out announcing
you are within 100 m of a gravitational force.
You should feel lucky to be alive but because of a careless nitrous fired without checking
your star maps, now you're heading for an unknown planet in an unfriendly system.
The loud beeping awakens Jed who quickly pipes up, "What's going on?"
