Art Links

IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ

This project evolved from a class assignment for Education students at Malaspina University-College. All information assembled was researched from primary and secondary sources from the Malaspina University-College Library, the Internet, and elsewhere.
Posting the assignment was not originally intended, therefore sources are not referenced.

What it is...

Art Links is a software resource package for the elementary school art teacher. Twenty-eight art forms from twelve countries are represented, with "links" between art forms of similar origin. Each page includes the title, historical and cultural signifigance, principles and elements of design, techniques and methodology, and a section on integration of the art form with art and drama.

How you use it...

You can access individual art forms from the Place Index. In addition, multiple art forms under each country are linked together. For a definition of the elements and principles of design you can link to that page from either this Introduction or the Home Page (Place Index).

So...

This Introduction page links to the Place Index and the Definition of Terms: Elements and Principles of Design.

The Place Index links to this Introduction page, the Definition of Terms: Elements and Principles of Design, AND each of the 28 art forms.

The Definition of Terms: Elements and Principles of Design page links to the Place Index and this Introduction page.

The pages of art forms link only to the Place Index page.

Many thanks to...

Thank you to those students who contributed their multicultural art posters for this project. This wonderful tool could not have come to be without your generosity and support!

Finally, a huge bouquet of red roses to Mary O'Neill, our "computer angel." Thank-you so much for your time, energy, expertise, and, most of all, your unending patience.

Away you go!

We hope that this tool is both practical and useful for you.
