Welcome

The research projects featured here were developed by senior undergraduate History students at Vancouver Island University (formerly known as Malaspina University-College) in Nanaimo, British Columbia. The projects relate to the city of Victoria in the early 1900s — that is, to Victoria in the dawn of a new century. Students explored themes in urban history and historical geography, using data from the viHistory.ca web site and other primary records. The project featured below is a good example of sophisticated research and historical analysis:
